my dad's hooked
long post ahead.
ever since the 04 wrx came at the chicago auto show in february of 2003, i got hooked on it. i haven't bought the wrx yet, but will try to get an 05 in the spring. at first, my dad thought it was nice but way too expensive for me(i was 19 when i saw it). so for the last 1 1/2 years my dad tells me not to get it cuz he says i will end up selling it and getting something else. basically he doesn't want me to spend a lot if i will sell within 3 years. i told him i am not that kind of person and since i will be moving up from a 92 civic to a wrx, y would i want to. so after a few months he test drove one with me, and thinks its really fast and it started to grow on him. he started to like it. and for the last 3 months he keeps bugging me on when will i get it. it seems now that he is more excited about the car than me. the civic i drive was his. its a 92 sedan 5 speed. he loves stick, but ended up getting a 2002 accord coupe ex. its the year right b4 the new one. he thought he could live w/ an automatic, but he can't. he wants to give it to my mom and get either a new 5 speed accord coupe, a tsx, or get this, the new SUBARU LEGACY. i was watching rally with him last night and he looked at my brother's car and driver to see the new legacy. he asked my brother to see the magazine. he says he would get that or the other cars. i think there will be another subaru at the house in addition to mine. im 21 now and hopefully i will get that subie in the spring.
