I know I have read about this before but I completely forget wich is wich. Now i have a 98 2.5rs. can someone tell me real quick what does each one mean(MAF & MAP) and with one is on the 98? I know they switched it in 99. and wich one is more acurate? are there many pros and cons to either one? thanx
This is from a pro who really does know..
MAT (Manifold Air Temperature ) Sensor..
This part helps to adjust the fuel mixture and your timing.
MAF also know as a VAF : This part is a Air Flow Sensor which measures the amount of air entering your engine to control fuel mixture and timing also.
MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor..
This part measures manifold vacume and your vacume advance.
It also controls your fuel mixture and timing.
