y helo thar..................I just bought a 02 wrx about a month ago. Man, it is stupid fast. I really like it. is there anyone else with a 2002 subaru impreza wrx in here? Mine is white. I got it at a dealership. I fell in love with this car when the salesmen told me to see how well it launched. this thing hooks up awesome! what rpm's do you guys usualy launch at?

 

Welcome, there is alot of info here.

 

Before you start doing high RPM luanches, do a search on 02 and early 03 5MT tranny issues. If you drive like a bat out of hell and rip it off the line all the time you'll be buying new gears. (or you may be lucky and the gears have already been blown out by the previous owner and the new ones are installed)

cant take many, i launched mine very few times and the tranny went out one night, i dunno how though because my brother was driving it when it happened... if u have the stock short shifter get rid of it, its no good. i havnt had my car for 5 weeks now d: (, supposed to get it back at the end of this week but thats what they always say...
