Hey all,
I just joined the club after purchasing my first subaru, my family's 11th. I bought a 2001 Impreza 2.5 RS. I have a couple questions, first, what does GC8 mean? Secondly, my impreza has carbon fiber trim all around the cd player and heater components. Is this stock? Also, the car came with a carbon fiber STi sway bar under the hood, how much do those go for? I havent seen any similar imprezas in Canada, but I know this car was imported from California, so just wondering if these are just American Specs, just slightly different from Canadian specs. Also, looking to improve the looks of my ride, I will accept any suggestions, the cheaper the better as I am a student. Thanks

the carbon fiber trim is not stock as far as i know, the carbon fiber "swaybar" is actaully a Strut tower bar, and if it is real that thing is about 500 dollers. And actaully your car is not a GC8, a GC8 is the JDM Sti with that body style. you have a differnt model name, but people in the states call there 2.5RS's GC8's because its the same body style. i have never heard a person call there RS by the real chassis code. ( am i right?)
