what kind do you have? im thinking of getting the one you see in the video. 289$ for a kit, nitro powered, .15 or something motor...comes w/ almost everything u need...just need to get a starter pack for 40$ and ur all set

BEWARE. Nitro cars are addictive.

I bought the hpi nitro mt awhile ago. I payed about $400 plus getting the starter kit. To date (repairs and upgrades) I have about $2200 into my car. (not including the price of the car) There is almost no more original parts. Everything is either carbon or aluminum. Just rebuilt the engine. Leaky seals and bad piston/sleeve.

The rally nitro is the next one I'm getting. Soon I hope.

I bought a HPI RS4 3 nitro (drive shafts instead of belts) last summer. i paid about 250 for mine with everything i needed. i prob have already spent that much on hop up parts on top of the car itself. it was really fun untill the cost of maintaining it started to run up.
these things are so much fun, but you have to stay on top of them. they can take up A LOT of your time. i kinda stopped using it when my engine would consistently start to run lean. the guys at the hobby shop told me i needed a new engine. i'll prob get a new one next month when i get my tax returns back ( i was really lazy this year )

 

im thinking of getting the rs4 super nitro...289 ....dulx wrx whered u get urs for 250? the best i found was to 280 for that model...and are these cars not reliable? cuz i cant afford repairs

well, i had a friend that used to work at a hobby shop, thats how i got a discout on it. 289 is a pretty good price. as far as reliability goes, they are pretty reliable, but you are going to break stuff. if you want to have fun with them you will crash sooner or later. that means replacing chassis, suspension arms, wheels, body kits or what ever you damage. i crashed my car into a pole and i had to replace my chassis. 45 bucks.
then there is the temptation to upgrade parts on your car. 2 speed trannys, carbon fiber chassis parts, better tires, racing clutches, better radios and servos and so on. these things can be a money pit, but when they are tuned, they are really fun.

 

im gonna try my bestesetest not to crash...its iether this or an ipod...hmm....ahhh decisions!

well as for the ipod. i got one before, a 10 gb one from bestbuys, got it for like 430? well anyways, it's nice and all, but the sound quality sucks, the thing is heavy, and in my point of view it's just not worth it. if you want mp3 players, get a flash memory one, those come with like radios now, voice recording and such, i got the iriver 128 mb one a while back, that was like 150 bucks? so yea, 150 < 430. just my 2 cents. oh yea i also have a hpi nitro car....uhm that's expensive too. hahah, i put about 2000 into it? well including the fm remote, and all the upgrades and such. damn expensive japanese toys.
