I recently had spun the bearing on my crank and had to have the block remachined and rebuilt. It has been a couple of months and the motor is now broken in. The fuel consumption has dropped from 22mpg closer to 15-17 for average use. My driving habits have not changed. In fact, I drive slower now due to the rising cost of fuel...again. I have some mods (chipped, 3" exaust, perrin pully's as only main powertrain adds) but they are the same. What should I look for as a potential cause? Will putting in a standard chip help? Any advice is appreciated!

 

ditch the chip! get a proper tune!

 

reset the ECU and drive normal not breaking in style

 

take away the chip, by a cobb ap, and get a a tune
