how come some people have an avatar and i cant have one?

You have to become a VIP member. VIP Membership is gained once you contribuite to the site. Alex (Imprezer) hands them out randomly to people who help contribuite to certain sections of the site.

 

In my case I have to plan 2 more HIIC Cruises to get one

 

Do 20 product reviews still get a guy an avatar? Either way, you won't get one by just asking for it Gotta contribute some way or another!

 

I organized a group buy side skirt painting and didn't get one. Should I organize another?

 

Currently I'm unaware of any 'specials' that Imprezer is hosting so that members may obtain an avatar. I know that it is not based on participation measured by random posts (and definitely not postwhoring ), nor on group buys or organizing meets for members.

If I hear of a new promotion for member avatars, I will post it in this forum. In the meantime, I'd suggest watching any new threads posted in this forum by Imprezer since he generally makes announcements of this sort in the General forum.

I have no idea...got any sites I can look at? I don't even know how to make an avatar

 

Most members choose an avatar that either they identify with, or that others would identify with them. Others choose humorous animated avatars as long as it doesn't exceed the file size limitation for avatars (can't recall what it is, offhand) and falling within 50 by 50 pixels. I don't know if members go to sites that host a collection of avatars. Some take pics of their cars or something else, then crop and re-size them to use as an avatar. If you take an original pic of something, feel free to PM me and I'd be glad to crop and resize it for you, or you can download Irfanview, a freeware Windows utility that can resize any pic or graphic image format.

Where can I find the Signature and avatar options in "User CP". Nothing there will let me set either one. I used "search" too.
"Edit Avatar" doesnt do anything either. Wont let me set one.

 

Dunno bout signature but for Avatar you gotta get VIP status...you can do a search on that.
