I wanna go lower

I still have stock suspension on my 06 WRX limited and I wanna go a little lower. Got a good 3 in gap I want to cut in half. Not flush just lower for better handling in the corners. Suggestions

Probably a handful of threads regarding suspension. If you search for something suspension related you'd probably be able to find a thread with relevant information.

Also need to know what your intentions with the car are, i.e. daily drive, track, rally, all of the above etc.

If you wanna slam the **** out of your car and just show it off on the weekends just get some cheap coilovers and call it a day.

You mean required. Not even STI struts can handle Yellows.

Lower does not automatically = handling.

+1. if anything you are actually loosing handling characteristics by lowering your car. steering, body roll, bump steer, braking, etc. anytime you go beyond OEM specs, you are going beyond what that part was designed and engineered for. ya you can slam your ride, but you also gotta upkeep other parts as well to keep or even improve the handling

I think you guys are reading too much into this...

OP- just pick up come cheap springs designed to work with the stock struts. Tein S Tech for example.

haha i was gonna say "required" definitely for the age of his car, but i dunno what his budget is.

Like Brfatal said, its for sure required and i'd recommend Koni yellows. It may cost a pretty penny, but its worth it.
