its not super slow but its pretty bad. i once took off from a stop sign with my brother right next to me in his 1991 mitsu mirage. i let my WRX roll off the idle and my brother released his brake (auto) and we rolled for a few feet, then gunned it. his little 1.5 N/A POS car got me by about a car length until i reached about 2,800 RPM and i made up the difference. we only hit about 20 mph but it just demonstrated the lag.

if you want to always have power i would keep it above about 3,000 RPM.
aside from the turbo lag (which almost all turbo car hav) it's a pretty nice car.

Well with the 06 having the 2.5 its got a little less lag, about as fast as a 2.5i off the line, or a little faster than my current car :'( (ford contour)

About as fast as a 2.0l with 8:1 compression

I'd have to say, if you took the turbo off, it would probably have ~120-130hp. But, you can really only notice it for about a second.

^^sloooooowwwww, I've driven many a honda in my day and I have to say they are pretty weak until vtec kicks in.

My friend had a supercharged civic and he has driven my wrx, he said that my subaru has more power down low than his civic had.

By the way, even 1000hp supras are running less than 150 hp to the wheels before 3500 rpm=all cars are slow down low in the rpm range.

Yeah, I've got a turbo Prelude that's a dog down low but when 3500 hits it pulls hard as hell to red line.

1998. Totally stock body but tons of ish under the hood. JUN cams, HKS 3037 turbo, built lower end, etc... It's a great sleeper.

Good to know, so if I pull up next to a green prelude with Mugen wheels, I know not to try anything that may make me look stupid!

You never know...........it might be worth a shot. I just wouldn't do anything on the highway.
