How long will a Legacy last?
I'm looking at a 97 Legacy GT Sedan that is super clean, but has 140,000 miles on it. They are asking $5400 for it and I am wondering if it is worth it. Do these cars have serious problems with the trasfer case or transmission or engine problems? Thanks in advance

Car Info: 2002 Legacy L SE Wagon
It's a great car and will last a seriously long time. The only big problems I'm aware of are the head gaskets. Some of the DOHC 2.5Ls had a problem with them going prematurely. I would ask the owner about that, and make sure the timing belts have been changed. Ohterwise you should have no problems.

i worked on a 97 leg. o/b with 350,000 miles. not serious probs. just regular maintenance. 140k's nothin!
