Push it off a cliff at least a quarter mile high and it'll run 8's.

Nitrous will get you there. You can go with w VF30 turbo, same as STi and you'll get there too. Injectors needed.

Na, different engines. ECU switch prolly wouldn't work. MBC is a manual boost controller (usually around $60) makes it so you can run 16 or more PSI of boost instead of the stock 12-14.

An MBC is a type a "boost controller" which controls the amount of boost the turbo is giving the vehicle.

There are 2 types: Electrical, which uses a remote often cabin controlled solenoid to regulate airflow, and manual-mechanical, which uses a valve that needs to be adjusted by hand.

A 50 dollar MBC will already put you in the high 13's by turning boost up to 15, 16 psi but no more. You do this by getting a boost guage, and turning the **** up slowly until the guage reads the desired boost while you are at full throttle and ~5000 rpm in 3rd or 4th gear.

However the increased boost also increases exhaust temperatures. (A turbo is a device that increases the mechanical efficiency of an engine. Carnot's law says more efficiency = bigger difference in temperature thus upping boost increases temperature. This is bad, because the car was designed to work at a 'stock' temperature. To make a really long story short, what you can do to help is to remove restrictions in the exhaust path. There are restrictions in the exhaust, and getting rid of those restrictions, such as catalytic converters, will help make things 'mellow'. This means an uppipe at least.

Uppipe, boost controller, probably somemore exhaust components will definately make a WRX a solid 13 second car. Uppipe can be free if you gut your own.
