Pros:
-"looks good"
- Small increase in radiator efficiency

Cons:
- No airflow through the intercooler for it to do its job
- Increased IATs
- Increased chance of detonation
- ECU will pull timing
- Less consistent power

^ This is your reasons not to do it. You'll be doing more harm than just having your car look "cool" with just a mesh grille in place of the hood scoop. You might get a praise and have someone say like "look at that Subie EVO" lol.

I've done a lot of research on AWICs and am very interested in them. It has been done on Subarus (in older Legacys from the factory no less, and some gens of Toyota 3S-GTEs), but it's another idea that got shat on when I brought it up.

Yeah people like to shat on all kinds of ideas. But your ideas are different, i like different, and unless someone has direct experience, its just hearsay. Ya never know until you try.

If you have your mind set on no scoop, then you would need a meth kit to address the problems others have mentioned.

Innovative Tuning had a a thread going on Nasioc about their car running without a tmic @ below ambient temps on meth.
