hey guys new here. I’ve owned a 2000 outback for the last 4 years and I have developed a love for Subaru’s through owning this vehicle (fantastic car).i recently bought a 2002 Impreza wagon (non-turbo) and i have done a decent bit of research and found that the best way to get more HP out of my 2.5 is to go turbo. I am not interested in doing that. In fact I’m not interested in increasing performance at all. I love the way the car looks (very aggressive) and love the way it handles. However i absolutely despise the way it sounds with the stock exhaust. I have read about installing UEL headers to get the rumble but heard it doesn’t sound much different without opening the rest of the exhaust up. I am looking for the quickest upgrade (bang for my buck) that is going to change the sound up of my exhaust without breaking the bank. Thanks guys and gals.

 

The stock header is UEL, all you need is an axtel back (muffler) to get more sounds. if you went with a full system you'd get better flow and even more sound but on the cheap the muffler is the best way to bring the noize.
