not to rain on your fun unlocking what your boss implemented.
you gotta think about this, do you want to get fired?
he will find out that you found a loop hole around his block, safe bet is save the viewing after work.

Seriously...if your employer watches what sites you access at work, and takes the time to block the sites that you are spending too much time on...you've basically been sent a message. That message being "Get your *** back to work!"
If the employer is taking time to do this, he/she is watching your productivity and comparing that to your time on the net while browsing sites that do not correspond to your job. The next message you get may not be so inconspicuous.

If you have a computer at your home with XP Pro on it forward port 3389 from your router to your computer. While your in your router settings get your current IP.
Set up an account with noip.com and they will notify you if your IP changes.
Enable Remote Desktop Protocol (Start>Programs>Accesories) to accept incoming connections.
Now just use Remote Desktop at work and type in your current IP address. Now its like you are sitting at your home computer. He cant tell what websites your going to, only that your Remote Desktoping into your home computer. And he probably doesnt have that setup to be monitored.
If you dont have XP pro at home, you can do the same thing with a program called "VNC" (google it) and that will let you log into your computer from any web browser.
