does anyone know how to wire up the stock cooling fans to a manual switch? thanks!!

why-id be happy to show you how and provide the diagram and how to do it-but why would you do it-when the thermal switch does it for you at the correct temp.

so i can leave the fan on when i turn off the car........gas saving and engine cooling purposes...

go to radio shack and get a 4 pole relay- 5 pole if you want both fans to run.run a heavy gauge wire to the main fan motor then to the switch side of the relay.then on the other switch side of relay to power source,making sure to use a inline fuse(20)amp.on the coil side of the relay run another hot wire with inline fuse to it.one pole left on relay which will be your ground leg that you put to a switch of your choice and then to ground.see what you could find for a timer.this would keep your battery happy.on the main fan splice a hot from relay switch to the white/blue wire.sub fan splice a hot to the yellow/red wire.

sounds bunk to me but I havent heard of anyone else with those same problems

yes because you had the igniton off,as you stated.if you understand wiring diags,i will send you it.the ecu controlled relays are only powered with key on.

i dont think its worth it doing all that work. dude just let ur car idle for a bit or baby it after a hard run aofr a few minutes. its not THAT much gas man. thats just IMO

why not get a turbo timer and mod it,send me your e-mail so i can send it-you need adobe reader which is free download from there site
