They changed the interior, for the better IMO, except the steering wheel (no more momo). Center console is nice, seats are just plain black now. New wheels too. I just wet myself.

I like a lot of the changes they made; single tip exhaust, the Saabaru center console, and the new wheels are nice. I just don't understand why they decided to lose the momo steering wheel. Makes me glad I've got an '04...

Yeah, um, I'll try to...calm myself....
The center console looks like something you would see in a midsize entry sedan or something of that sort. The steering wheel is not that bad really. It goes with the console pretty well. But, yes I really should calm down.

Actually, the steering wheel is still made by Momo. It has the Momo print under the suby emblem.

I personally love all the changes. That center console is nicer than the previous one. I think the question is, when is Subaru gonna put the 2.5 turbo into the WRX? I mean seriously. Bump the STi up to 350 HP/torque, drop the 2.5 turbo into the WRX at 250/250 like the Legacy.

As 04ScoobyRex mentioned, the wheel is still Momo. All of the leather steering wheels are Momo (Legacy GT, Legacy Outback LL bean Edition, WRX Sedan/Wagon, and STi)

You would figure that when they changed the wheels, they would at least make 17s standard. If I can get 17s standard on a $20,000 Neon SRT-4, Mazdaspeed Protege, or Sentra SE-R, I should get them on my $25,000 WRX.

The changes are BEAUTIFUL!!!!
I'm in the market for the 2005
As mentioned above, to me as well the non-MOMO marked steering wheel was somewhat of a turn-off, taking the sportiness out of the car... But I'm assured its still a momo wheel, and for God's sake guys its 3 spoke!!!!! much nicer and more modern than a 4!
Also, did you guys notice the side skirts come PAINTED to match the body STANDARD??? hows that for a kick in the nuts to previous years!
Cheers to the 05!!!!! Hope to get one soon enough... and the wheels... very nice, but will be swapped out for rotas anyway :-D
