Got my STi!

I just picked up my White STi today!!! Last week my 03 WRX was totalled in an accident. Anyhoo, I flew from Michigan to Philly to pick up the new Subie, and drove it 700 miles home. The day started off nice, but then got messy (rain). The 10 hour drive w/o a radio was not bad. Seats were pretty comfy. The 80+mph drive was soo nice, through the twisty highways of PA. I love this car. The only bad thing is the subaru dealer drilled two holes in the front bumper cover to put their license plate on! Found this out when I got home, gonna call them tommorro. My demands either 1. new bumper cover, or 2. a WRX or STi alluminum plate cover from mach v motorsports. Here are some pics.

Congratulations

Greetings from I-94/I-275.....
Glad to see your new white/silver STi. I also purchased out of state and the front fascia had been drilled for a front plate. I solved it very nicely by installing the Autospeed front plate cover. I'll attempt to post a pic or you can go to Autospeed.com and check out their products. Also, even though the fascia may not be drilled, it still has these nasty looking dimples.

Yeah I have holes in mine too from the Dealership license plate holder. Are they not supposed to do that or what is the deal??

In two plate states, no big deal. But notice that just about all dealers now add front plate advertisements to the vehicles on their lot. Kinda hard to prevent them from doing it when you buy out of inventory. Easier to accomplish if you order the car. The plate screw dimples on non drilled fascias looks similar to drilled holes from a distance. If you get the dealer to budge, let us know. BTW, he posted on one of these sites so you are famous already(I think it was NASIOC Midwest).

Nice guys at the dealer. I reccomended the Alluminum plate cover and they said "send us the bill". So if you go to PA for a subie I highly reccomend Glanzman in Philly. They fixed their one screw up, and I got the car for 1500 under MRSP.

everyone's got those holes, even the wrx's....it's because the us plates do not fit over the holes that are there on the bumper itself....so dealers just drill thru the bumper to fit us plates
