Alright, I'm 17 and I'm looking to get one of these by the end of summer(I'm staying hopeful).

By the end of the summer after I sell my car I'll have around $13,000.


Would it be possible to get a loan of around 7k-8k at my age so I can get a 03 WRX or should I go for a used 02 w/ a 6k loan or so w/ my parents cosigning?


Any tips or things I should avoid?

At your age, even with the down payment, it is doubtful you will be able to get a loan, unless you have an established credit rating.
By having a parent co-sign, however, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get the larger loan. (even then you may find it harder to get a loan, then if you were a little older)
