general question
after reading many a comparison tests and articles and other junk, every one of those magazine guys seems to agree that the STi is a better car for your daily commute and overall driving. then they say that the evo is better for the more agressive driving and other nonsense. i dont really care about those too much.
i follow WRC and i know mitsu pulled out of 2003 calendar for repairs and mods, while petter solberg is rackin up points and can win the championship. so my question is, which car is the better off-road (rally) car?
dont be biased toward the STi or Evo. dont go bashin the other too much... just share the stuff that are facts... like i did above... and also throw in your personal opinion if you've take either or both rally drivin
0-60, quarters, and all that other junk aint for me, so i dont really care... besides, every single time, someone is goin to get different results, so screw them...

considering that the usdm STi isnt even rally-spec (2.5L BS...), I vote Evo... However, that also has a significantly stiffer suspension and both cars have 17's with lo-profile hi-po tires, so they both need a lot more work to be truly rally ready. I'd almost say go with a stock WRX and mod, b/c many of the STi / Evo's features you pay for would be removed when you convert for rallying.
Also, Mitsu is out of WRC this year not for repairs/mods, but for a complete rethinking of their strategy, and they almosted dumped the Evo for a Colt WRC, but (thank god!) they changed their minds.

petter has 48 points and is currently in 4th place... leader, burns, has 57... he still has a chance... if he can ride strong in the remaining rallies, he can get overall leader... or hit 2nd or 3rd... that wouldnt be too bad for a young driver...
in any case, cant wait for 2004: BURNS AND SOLBERG AT SUBARU
should be good
