My dad loves to tell this story about how back in 1968 Popular Mechanics ran an article on how to get a Chevy V-6 into a VW SuperBeetle... in the April issue. Turns out it was an April Fool's joke; they manufactured 3 to 5 inches of frame space that didn't actually exist. I bet hundreds of poor "bugs" died an early death by cutting torch as people tried to make those engines fit...

I think it could be kinda cool when it's done. That undercarraige is really clean. Youkind of laugh when you first see it, but once you look close he has done very good work.
