First attempt in getting my WRX
Well after waiting countless months of saving.. and waiting to get into the VIP membership program, I finally went to my local Subaru Dealer to place an order on a 04' WRX.
After talking to a salesman, he says he can't order me a 04 WRX.. because he doesn't know the Specs yet, and then states its not going to be there until June/july ? wth
*sighs* I'm going to call the sales manager tomorrow, and see if I can setup an appointment. I have a feeling the 1st guy was blowing me off because I'm 21 and didn't think I was actually going to buy a car.

Sounds like they are jerking you. These people are getting 04 WRX on the east coast.

I live in michigan.. Just got off the phone with another dealer who is currently offering me 22,700 for a 03 WRX thats loaded... or can order me a 04 WRX
So I think I'll be making an hour drive there today.

Yeah well I've been driving my 04 wrx since Friday the 21st! Awesome car. Way better than my 02 was. So glad I waited.

Happy to report that I couldn't back out of the offer.. Just got a 03 WRX w/ Rear Spoiler / Boost Gauge / Arm Rest Extension / Short Throw Shifter for $22,700 ... 24,200 out the door
Should be picking it up this saturday if all goes well
Only difference between the 04 and 03 is front end change.. and few other minor things... I almost like the bugeye frontend better if you ask me, but maybe its because i'm buying one now hehe.. *shrugs* I can't wait!!!!!!!

Well for starters my 02 has the engine in the passenger compartment!!!, but car to cat her are the differences:
04 has:
better seats (though there is a hard piece in the sides of the bottom portion that hits my legs as I am 6'4" and drive with my legs spread out)
better gauges (I didn't think it would matter but it's a LOT better)
different mirrors (like 03/02 better, but used to 04 already)
Different color interior (all black better to me)
Bigger hood scoop (better more aggresive)
New headlights (better at first I didn't like it but it grows on me. More importantly they are brighter clearer)
No Antenea! (Very nice, better reception and don't have to put it up/down to wash)
When you lock the car with the "clicker" the lights now flash (very nice) and it beep something other than the horn (beep ish better and quieter)
interior color is "carbon" colored (better color in my opinion and solid dark gray color not corbon fiber)
All in all if you have an 02 or 03 you have a cult clasic and a great car. I LOVED mine. I waited for the 04 because it was a month away and I figured I'd at least see what I like better when it got here. After sitting in it for an hour on the lot looking at it and an 03 I decided the 04 was worht it to me. The dealer with the best deals around me had a silver 04 but only blue 03s and couldn't trade for a silver one. (Silver was a must) The only dealer with a silver one was asking $600 more for it so I only had to pay $400 more for the 04 versus the 03 and got it from the better dealer.
04 has:

The 04 also features ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), which I believe the 02 and 03s did not have (correct me if I'm wrong). Presumably you wouldn't notice any difference except under emergency situations, but who knows, it might save your car sometime next winter.

Do you have pics of the interior, gages, and mirrors? I'd like to see how they differ. I'd love to have an integrated antenna, that is a nice feature. The '03s actually blink their lights as well, but it is the horn that beeps like you mentioned.
