Question few months now, how does the 04 wrx run

Just wondering to whoever owns the 04 wrx as to how it runs? are you guys experiencing any problems or is this beast flawless? thanks for any input.

i got a 04 wrx. so far i have no problems (knocking on wood). But then again i only have 840 miles on the car so...ill let you know later. But in the beguining i had some problems. The reverse gear would engage perfectly all the time, but now it does i guess i just had to break it in some. And now i can finally hear the turbo spool.

I drive an 04 wrx too and have about 6100 miles on it hehehehehe. The break in period too me 1 week to reach and its been one hell of a fun ride. I just installed my Kartboy short shifter and bushings today. Man what a difference in shifting. The throw is alot shorter and way stiffer than stock. I also installed the GReddy Type-S BOV just for the pssst sound lol. I do have problems with shifting into reverse, but nothing too big. This is my first manual transmission car so I can't really compare it to anything else.

flyBY: You are aware that the '04 WRX is basically the '03 with cosmetic changes right?

heres my baby. the 04 have cosmetic changes, tachometer in the middle, clutch performance improved, rumored suspension tuning. and transmisiion improved. nothing big just small updated patches.

i have factory turbo gauge, spoiler, and short throw shifter. =)

i have 1450 miles on it and so far so good nothing wrong, its beautiful and i love it and its driving great! riding the clutch is the key to spanking other racers. =)

My '04 wagon just turned 4000 last night and I haven't had the slightest problem. The only flaw I found was a panel gap issue at the front of the hood on the passenger side to the immediate inside of the headlight. The dealer managed to take care of it (nearly perfect now- I can live with it). It just keeps getting more fun!
