Engine Serial Number Lookup

when i got my wrx the guy had but the ej25 in it but im trying to find the serial # and look it up so i can tell wether its an 06-07 so i can decide on getting a restrictor pill, i know the 07s had issues can anyone help me?

Are you talking about the turbo restrictor pill? If so I think you need the one that matches the turbo.

i dont know which turbo i have, the guy that installed it said it was a straight 2.5 swap with turbo headers injectors and other things but he wasnt sure if its a 2006 or 2007 so im looking for the engine stamp

I don't think there is a serial number, just an engine code, like EJ255 or EJ257. That code can be found under the alternator, stamped on the engine block.

Why do you think you need a restrictor pill for the turbo? Having any problems?

all fixed now when the previous owner started the transplant there were alot of things that weren' t on the car and a tons of boost leaks
