which engine is better, sti or wrx?
hey guys, i am kind of a noob when it comes to subaru, but i was wondering if u guys can help me out. I was wondering which car engine has the most poteintial to be a monster considering the engine, a wrx or a sti engine?? which is tuner friendly and easier to get the most power out of??

The only thing is that the STi has less parts availible (at least right now) so you would most likely pay more for that power. WRX has tons of parts availible so it wont be quite as expensive though if I were in your shoes I would buy the STi if i planned to mod it as you do.

One important thing to remember is that the EJ25T may not have support from Japanese parts manufacturers unless a Japanese variant is released (and no, the Legacy B4 doesn't count

Comparing STi EJ25 and non-STi EJ20 is silly. Of course AS IS, EJ25 is better. However, if you talk upgradability, EJ20 is better. And, if you were to compare STi EJ20 with STi EJ25, thats a whole diff story.
