Question Choosing a car.

Hey guys,
I need some advice on which car to get. I want an Impreza (non turbo) but which to get is the question. I want a car within the years 1999 - 2002 or newer (I Wish lol).

I want to know is it worth the extra say $5000 for the model with the round head lights or should I not worry and get the earlier model with the more rectangular head lights.

I personally like the rounded head light models design better. I think it looks newer and more upto date. My mates & Bro like the earlier model more.

I have been researching on both models quite a bit and from what I can tell they both have exactly the same engine.

Questions:
Is the interior on the newer model significantly better to justify the extra money?
Is the newer model bigger and more roomier?
Fuel consumption better on the newer model?
Driving experience better on the newer model?
Any other comments on what you guys think of each model would be great.

Its about a month to go till ill have enough $$$ to get it so once I get my new beast Ill post up some pictures. I cant wait im very excited. My current car is a V8 1981 Holden Commodore so its going to be a great upgrade hehe.

Cheers for the help guys

Spongey.

It is newer. Not that much of a difference if you ask me.

Is the newer model bigger and more roomier?
More rear leg room and head room. And overall yes, it is a bit roomier.

Fuel consumption better on the newer model?
Engine is exactly the same, so no. But the newer RS's are a bit heavier so probably yes by a little bit.

Driving experience better on the newer model?
Older handles better. It is ligher and quicker. Everything comes down to weight.

Talking cheers

It doesnt sound like the newer model is worth the extra $$.
Might aswel spend the extra $5000 on mags and sound system with some to spare.

Cheers for the advice if anyone else has some comments on either car they would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Its all opinion. I bothered looking for an 04+ because I really dislike the bugeyes in comparison. :-P Also, I wouldn't really consider an 02, because of notorious trans issues. YMMV.

You will not have tranny issues on a non-turbo car.
