car wont start! please help me get to work

hey guys my car will not start.
car-2000 2.5rs auto

i went to go start my car this morning and whatever i tried it just would not start. i turn the key all the way and there is no noise at all. absolutely no sound from starter or anything at all. all the lights work and battery is confirmed to be good.no CEL. just Nothing! so i am stumped at this point.
my ideas are
*brake sensor (or some other sensor)
*starter motor (how would i go about testing this?) i have a voltage meter but not sure what wires to test
*ECU

if anyone could please lend me a hand that would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Sounds like the battery connections are loose. Your lights can work off the voltage of a slight connection, but your starter cannot draw enough. Check the connections and make sure they're nice and tight with no play.

Could be a battery that has lived its life, and cannot give the correct amperage to turn the engine over.

The leads on the alternator could be corroded.

Alternator fuse? lol idk if there is such thing.

Connect it directly to the battery. Just be careful though, it has some kick! lol.

It's only going to be connected long enough to get a connection. Don't let it sit there and spin. lol

Try swap out the battery, sounds like there isnt enough current to power on the system. Or if you have a Digital Multi Meter, try to measure the voltage. If its below 12V, time to get a new battery.

Could be the neutral safety switch, try moving it out of park and back in, also try starting in neutral instead of park.

kragen/AZ can bench test your alt and batt too - worth a shot to take it all if you're going to make the run - but also, if your starter connected directly to the battery in your car doesn't turn on (ie no starter solenoid, no starter motor running)

then your battery is bad (doesnt provide the amperage for a starter, just enough for headlights which use less than 10~15amps)

OK guys after a full week of struggle and a new starter it still didn't start. buttttt I FIGURED THIS STUPID THING OUT! the black cable that connects from the ignition to the starter solenoid wasn't contacting. all i did was clean it up and plugged it back in it started right up. its funny because i was just about to call a tow truck to pic her up and take it to the shop. thank god i figured this thing out.
