buying 1980 4wd wagon,please help
Ok, I'm new around here, but I figured this to be the best place for info. Anyone know where to get info and aftermarket stuff for the old models? I'm picking up this '80 wagon for a wekkend warrior rallyX car. Any help will be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance. -Jason Allen

Damn, about 3 weeks earlier and I coulda GIVEN you all my old parts.
headlight bezels
front signals
taillights
radiator (good!)
wagon wheels (5) no tires
misc other stuff
ended up junking the light parts, scrapped the radiator (whole $1 or 2 bucks), wagon wheels went for $20 to some local guy a friend of a friend of a friend told me about..
Had to move and that was the last pile o junk in the garage...
sorry, those 80's though, man, are they fun.
Chain drive timing chains, right? dependable as hell

If its a carborated model, your options are limited, but usefull... Custom exhaust, Weber carbs, aftermarket plug wires/etc., grinding the cams (there are a couple shops that do it), and not a whole lot else... There are some companies that build up EA81 motors for aircraft use, but thats serious money for their modifications.
Wheels are the hardest thing to find... There are lift kits around, but mostly custom.
I have a 1978 DL 4x4 DL wagon that I am restoring right now, fun stuff
