Yes the Icons are good when it's snowing. The low profile design picks up much less snow than traditional bulky wipers. Not all low profile wipers are equal though - many don't make consistent contact with the windshield. The Icons are good in my experience. So is the Valeo Ultimate, a similar low-profile design.

I want to find out what the oem wipers are for 2011 because they are wayyy better than the ones I had on my bugeye. I routinely chose crap ones when I had it.

I stuck with the Trico NeoForm Beam Blades and the Trico View glass treatment. In the end, this is the best set-up I've used and believe it or not...its NOT the most expensive option out there...actually a reasonable deal. Wipers are not needed over 45mph and when you do use the wipers, they're as smooth at ky jelly on a saturday night...

I had the Rain-X blades for about a month and they had horrible streaking! And for $18 dollars a blade that's pretty damn lame!
So I have switched to the Bosch ICON's and freakin love them!

regardless of price, it looks as though blade longevity and blade performance aren't two qualities that always go hand-in-hand.

+1 Bosch all the way. Picked them up a month ago and they blow all others away. Even wipe away mud from rallyin' and hasn't ripped/chipped the wiper rubber yet...or my windsheild.

since we're on the topic, i'm almost due for deux doux dew/doo-doo scrapers. i'll look for the least known brand of wiper blades, and give them a try.

Nope, a few years ago consumer reports basically said replace all of them every 6 months. I replace my NeoForms every year however because I'm cheap. I think what I get for the few extra bucks is not longevity, but smoothness, quietness, contact and athestethics. Beam blades like the NeoForm definitely are better in the ice and snow too...no frames for icebergs to form in.

Quick tip: buy complete blades and keep the old ones. Use the new ones for winter and when winter is over, put the old ones back on I just use the standard Ancos and they work fine. Glass polish and RainX means using your wipers a lot less.

Have Valeo on the company van and they work surprisingly well.

You've obviously never lived through a Wisconsin winter!! Brutal!! I usually just replace annually (sometimes twice a year when my cars get older and the glass gets pitted and old).
