Mr. Moderator please let me know if I am out of line.
This post is in reponse to the recent threads on people wanting avatars under their names. Please set the record straight on how to get one. What is the criteria and how do you reach it? Are they a reward for being a good poster or can you just do some "whoring" as one person put it?
And the question that seems to come up is, if you are supposed to have 1500 post to get an avatar then how did Doom get his.

its 1500 posts, or if alex wants to give you one, or.....
from what i have heard
if you add 20 products into the reviews section you get an avatar
not just add reviews, but add products to be reviewed

yeah, I've asked this question too but always got slated from those who already had avatars saying it was no big deal (only cos they have one
