I ahve been looking for a silver WRX wagon and i found one here locally for 19995 at a local dealer. It is a 2002 with 21,000 miles....is this a good price for a used wrx wagon?....I could probably get a 03 for a couple thousand more, but perhaps this is a better deal since it is thousands less...whatcha think? I took a look at it when they were closed and it seems to be clean except for a few scratches...

Sorry to burst your bubble...but since i work at Bianco Subaru, i can't allow you to purchase that car without all the facts...
i'm guessing that you're interested in financing...Subaru is offering 3.49% for a five year loan on any new 2003...so with the interest savings along with a the deal i could hook you up with you'ld be foolish to consider that used 02 wrx wagon..I have 5 siver wagons in stock and that will allow me to hook up a fellow I-clubber!!!! Maybe it's a distance to come to the Northern Bay Area, but a brand new WRX is sure worth it..no games.. just drop me a line...(415)924-9660
a couple more grand in price and your in a new one with low financing..think about it!!!used car interest rates are always higher than new car rates...the new warranty alone should be worth more than that!

Check this weekend's SacBee
Sears Pt Champ, I noticed you were in Citrus Heights, I'm in Natomas.
Check the Bee.
Roseville is offering $3000 off MSRP, 0% short term
Maita is offering $3500 off, 0% short term
Shingle Springs, $3000 off, 2.9% 60 months
I'd kinda guess the loan rates are the same at ALL Subaru dealers. AND, that they all will do AT LEAST $3500 off.
I'm not sure what "short term" means, but I think I will call tomorrow. My 323 GTX is dying
A $23,000 new car at 2.9 is tempting, compared to a $20,000, 20k mile used car at 6%.

For what its worth I just bought a used WRX and got 4.85% interest rate. The $6,000 I saved off new far out weighs what little difference the interest rate makes. Yeah I would have liked a new one, but a fairly low milage one, with plenty of warrantee left suited me just fine!
I would also think you could easily get at least another $1000 off the price of the used one, play hardball.

I'm as far from a hard sell job as it gets...just lookin out for my fellow sube enthusiasts......with Subaru having one of the highest resale values of any car, you really don't $ave enough to make used wrx make $ense....high or low miles.....either way a performance car like the wrx is gonna have a history.....nice to know you got a fresh one...maybe i'm just biased because i see people gettin screwed after buying a used problem car....generally the problems come from abuse anyways.....good luck with what ever you decide to do!!!!!!!!

21k is a lot of miles to be asking 20 grand for a car that you couldve bought new at the right place for a little over 22 grand.
i see 2002 wagons trade over at ebay for a lot less than 20 k.
offer them 17, if its a no, try ebay or get a new one.

I don't really know anything about financing, but I can tell you that I got my silver 02 wrx sedan (complete with black leather interior) on January 4. The car had 11155 miles on it the day I bought it. I paid 21000, including taxes and registration and all.
