i'm just wondering, how much money do you have saved up? in a year and a half, you'll be 16, close to 17 even, your insurance will be well over 3000 i believe. well at least for me, i'm 18, and my insurance is a whole lot already.

why do you want a carbon fiber hood? To look cool? Or what?
why do you want such a powerful car as your first car? You have 0 experience and this car has a lot of power.
why do you want to make your car even more powerful by changing the turbo? Do you know what other parts to change to make the bigger turbo work properly?
Probably not. I would recommend NOT getting a WRX as your first, or even second car (unless you get your second car 5 years later). Get a 2.5rs or something so you can still get the same safety (w/out side airbags) but much less power so you have less likely hood of needing that safety.

let him get whatever he wants..JUST BE SAFE....if his parents let him, who are we to stop him? i agree that its not a good first car and he shouldnt get it but im not gonna bother...and kid do u know the car comes turbocharged? ugh newbs
i really dont mean to be rude in any way, so sorry if anyone got that idea. But i just wanted to let, if you plan to get a turbo upgrade, there's much much more than just taking out your old turbo, sticking in the new one. I'm sure u already know that since u said u are getting the greddy turbo KIT. So that is fine. However, the wrx itself is already a fast car, from other memebrs in the club, the wrx can already put get 1/4 miles in about 13.5 seconds but how they launch their cars, i relaly have no idea. They have simples mods like a MBC, cold air intake, and other simple stuff like that. A stock wrx runs a 1/4 in 14.6? however, if you plan to go with the greddy turbo kit and the greddy kits, i would say your already looking at 2~3g's. Anyhow, i hope you do get the wrx, it's really a nice car. However fast cars also means more responsibility, just drive safely. I've had my wrx for about 2 months, i'm 18, turning 19 in a couple months. My insurance is a bit**, but so far, i've been driivng for 2 years, my first car was a 1996 nissan quest =]. yes i was a soccer mom haha...but anyways, good luck and i hope u can get the car, but just learn to drive it, and not just drag the car on every light that turns green.

Don't take this offensively, if you can afford a WRX on your own or your parents are willing and trusting enough to get you one, then all the power to you. But go do yourself a mature, but hard favor and get an used beater car first and learn how to properly take care of a car. I didn't when I was in HS, I got a close-to-brand new 2nd gen DSM. And I didn't really deserve it since I didn't really take care of the car maintenence and mod wise. I'm 19 now and regret getting that dsm over an more basic car. When you're older you'll appreciate the fact you was mature enough to not act "cool" in front of your HS peers with a simple material item like a car.

In 6 months my tech stocks are gonna go like frickin 1000% and I'm gonna buy myself a WRX and have someone install a second turbocharger so I can get twice the power. REally! NASDAQ is really going to make it this time. I mean it. My stock broker told me. So should I get 1 extra turbo or 2 extra? Also, I'm 39 and a half and in 6 months I'm going to be 40. Really!

You can't just add twice the boost and get twice the power. You need fuel management, plus the stock internals may or may not be able to handle it. Also you will not have a tranny long with 450hp. If I was you I would try and map out exactly what you want from your car and it will make it easier than just saying "I am adding this and this and this". Not to burst your bubble but unless you have a lot of stocks there is no way you are going to make a ton of money in 6 months. Your stock broker told you that to get some money. Who do you think makes money off of people thinking they are going to increase 20-30% per year. 20-30% is a pretty risky thought, and I would not be surprised to see a 10%-5% decrease with the economy the way it is.
