Ok, On friday i went to the illegal drags for the first time and they had the big sting. I got a ticket for exhaust and my intake. I just figured out today they are not fix it tickets but fines for messing with smog equipment so i have to go to court and i will win. But the ****y thing is i have to get my car checked by a ref for the next five years every year at registration. So that means i cant get a SR.

So should i keep my car:

granted the car you want to get rid of is not bad, but does it have everything the wrx has, including AWD?

 

That is a beautiful 240.. but they are severely lacking in performance without a turbo kit or SR swap. It all depends on what you want to do. If you want a car you can mod.. you probably need to sell the 240 as to not get into trouble.

The WRX is so much better. I love the handling, it feels so much more stable, better safety, MUCH better power. The WRX is an excellent car.

Sometimes I regret selling her because she was so gorgeous. Man that car looked so hot. It lacked too much on the power and since I need my car to be reliable daily, and due to CA smog laws I bought new instead of swapping in the SR.

thanks for the replys. I cant believe how many of you had 240sx's before. what do you think handles better. stock wrx or your old 240sx's? I dont like the looks of wrx's that much but the performance sounds sweet. I would have to do the sti trim or something, something with the headlights, wheels, and lower it. then it will be perfect.

 

I still have a 240sx along with my WRX and I think that stock for stock, the 240sx handles better. The WRX is a good handling car though, it is a different car from the 240.. depends what you like. Go test drive one and see for yourself is the best advice I can give you.

 

I personally prefer the handling of the WRX. To me it feels more balanced than my s14 did. It seems more predictable in a corner and makes me confident behind the wheel.

Since I feel more comfortable I can push it a little farther than I would have pushed the s14. Whether or not either car would handle better in the hands of a very experienced driver, I don't know, but in my case, I can drive the WRX much faster than I ever drove the s14.

I had the s14 for two years and I've had the WRX for 2 months . I love this car.

 

No, I dont like the looks of a stock wrx that much STOCK. I wont lie. BUT the wrx is such a sweet deal for the car that it is and with a little bit of modifications they looks sweet.
