2006 WRX n STI's

Are these coming to the US??
Seems all car makers are making awesome performance cars for the 2006 line up,..260 hp Galant, Eclipse GT, and 290 hp Z's and G35s,...etc

Are they gonna bring the S203 or V-Limited to the US?? Should wait till these come in to look at them,..Maybe that is why Kaneohe Subaru is waiting for a couple months to reopen,..lol

No. We'll never get them. The UK doesn't even get them. We definitely won't get them so don't bother waiting around for them. Be content w/ the fact that we got the STI at all.

Uhm no Kaneohe Subaru is setting up their new dealership. Why the heck would they wait for a new model to come in to open the store?

One of the reasons why we don't get the 'good' cars is that Japan and other countries have higher octane fuel which enables STi (the special vehicle operations team, not the car) to attain a greater output from the 2.0 liter engine. Other countries don't have to meet CA emission standards. Don't hold your breath waiting for an S203 to hit these shores. I think that Subaru exports to the U.S. what it thinks will meet warranty and marketing requirements.

You never know. They might bring 'em overhere. Mitsubishi brought their top of the line EVO the MR overhere so there is hope. As for waiting, I wouldn't hold my breath. They waited to see how the WRX sold before they brought the STi, and they brought it over to compete with the EVO. The company we should be pushing is Nissan. If they brought the Skyline (GTR) over (the real Skyline not this G35 crap) that might inspire the other companies.

One can dream right. I think to really get the real JDM monsters the Government needs to lower their emissions standards. Will that happen. No Friggin Way.

So buy a friggin STi and be happy.

The MR is not the top of the line. The US EVO only has 276 hp. The FQ 340 has 340 hp out of 2.0 turbo!!! The MR didn't get active yaw control either.

the reason why we shut down is because we lost our lease and King Windward Nissan did not move out of our new location. we are anticipating another 6-8 months before the new building is free.
and no... we will never get the S203, i'll bet my car on it.

Nissan is separating the skyline and the gt-r. The g35 is the skyline in japan, there isn't a gt-r model right now. When the gtr comes back, it's not going to be called skyline gt-r. It's going to be it's own car.

Wow,..I cant wait till Kaneohe Subaru opens in the old Windward Nissan space,...That way I can gawk at the cars as I drive to work 6 days a week,...Shopping for a new car soon this year,..

I hope they bring the V spec over as it looks like a dressed up STI with the carbon fiber front spoiler,..Im sure Subaru is gonna answer the Evo MR with something of their own,..

As for power specs and what is safe for the US,..I remember when I bought cars in 87 and again in 90 when anything more than 220 hp was rediculous,..the corvette was the only thing I remember to have 245hp. This kept insurance co happy and gas savers content,..

If you look at automobiles today,..trucks have 245hp out of their V-6s and 300hp+ out of their V-8s,..so I doubt there is any worry about EVOs and STIs coming to the US due to octane levels and insurance prices,..If they want to do it, they will and I hope they will as Im sure that sales wouldnt dissapoint them,..Its all a matter of social norms and what people/companies think are acceptable. As for me, I'd take a ripping JDM/Import with a 2.5L 4 cylinder 300hp+ with reliability over a domestic US V-8,..

If I had to buy another car ,..Id look at the STI, EVO, WRX, and G35 if I wasnt worried about passenger room, and something like a Legacy GT, G35 sedan, Altima R-Spec, or a Truck like a new cab Tacoma or F150,..

These all have 227hp or more and would satisfy more than enough,...

You never know,...hopefully they bring it over or put it in their parts catalog,..

my bad, i didn't pay too much attention to the article since it didn't revolve around subaru.

but the gist is the same, nissan is planning on brining the GT-R to the US in 2007 according to SCC.
