I'd act happy that you are posting here, but it'd be an act.

It's not like I was around for the whole thing, or talked to Nick a bunch for that 24 hours, or registered him some new domains while trying to help (http://www.impreza-club.net/) or he told me a bunch of stuff during that time or he posted big gobs of emails from the two of you after the switch or I registered over here (member # 29) to read the post-mortem from YOUR point of view before deciding to stick with NASIOC.

No, I did not sell or give i-Club to anyone else. I was not planning to make anyone mad. You can call it an early April's 1st joke. I'd say that it worked, haha. Look at all the traffic this tread generated.
So yeah, i-Club is not going anywhere. It will be mine for a very long time. You cannot put a pirce tag on it. I'd say you can buy power, you can buy fame, you can buy popularity and in most cases you can even buy respect. For me, I cannot put a price on friends and sense of accomplishment. I would not sell or give up my friends. I don't bend that way. And, from a more personal stand point, I am proud of what I have done for i-Club and Subaru community in general since 1998. So yeah.
What will happen with i-Club in 2006 are only the good things. I am about to introduce @i-Club.com e-mail service with .i-club.com hosting service soon after. I am redesigning the whole site and implementing a lot of new and exciting features. I have always wanted it to be more than just a message board and I think we are on the right track with a huge Reviews section and Gallery section. i-Club has innovated many features that were adopted by other websites. From what I know, the concepts of Regional Classifeds forums and regional "special" (IHOP, Rife) forums did not exist. Same with the way the message board is moderated. Overall I am very pleased with how things are going. Sure, we don't have the traffic of NASIOC, but I wouldn't want MOST of it (read, OT) even if it was here. i-CLub vendors are great and Vendor classifieds are not flooded with throatcutting posts. Technical discussions might not be where I would want them to be, but they have greatly impoved since last year. Traffic is up, new GOOD member numbers are up. So all in all, we are in a great shape and it will only keep getting bigger. I am working with a number of other sites and vendors to improve the quality of the products offered here. Parts AND info.
I must not forget to mention our STAFF team. They are a great bunch and have helped me out A LOT. We don't have power abuse related problems like other sites. We don't shut people up and the overall respect level among the visitors of this site is very high.
So happy new year folks and I hope you have a good laugh about this. And no, please don't kick me in the nuts when you see me from pulling this one on ya.
And of course thanks for all the nice comments you guys have left here. I was not really expecting that. I though it would be more like "WTH! You suck" sort of comments.
I am touched.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
