hey guys.. heres the story... well i own a 2001 sentra right now and in about a week im gonna trade it in for a 2004 WRX... and basically im wondering what the pros and the cons are for that car...

 

??? any body wanna give me some feedback??? should i wait for another year???? come on i really need some advise and input...

Yes I totally know what you mean. I cannot stop grinning when driving this car and well after i'm done driving.

Oh btw, 1500 miles now on my '04, no problems and the car seems to be driving better every day.

 

I get what you're asking, I think. And the answer is that the '04 IS the good year. A number of improvements/refinements from 02-03 models. It seems to me like Sube does a little somethin every couple years or so, so maybe nothing major to wrx till '06?
Prolly more STI stuff next year, if anything. So get the 2004!

I am wondering about the new manu/matic sport shifters??? I think the new Legacy is gonna offer it. I am debating between the rex and a Mazda6, and the 6 has the sport shift.
Anyone think this would be cool with the turbo? Best of both worlds for us non-shifting wimps? =)

 

the 6 is a great car - almost chose it over the wrx. but then i thought, awd, turbo, 0-60 5.6, tons of aftermarket options, potential to get it easily in the 13's, etc. etc. as for the manu-matic, i actually think this would be fun!!. you can really pretend you're solberg or makinen with a shifter on the wheel.

as for the '04, big improvements include better air flow to brakes, electronic brace force distribution. i went with the '03 because of price - the $2k price difference between an '04 and an '03 can be well spent on a visnhu stage 0 kit + wheels, tires, etc.
