Car Info: want a WRX
yeah both have great potential...the boxer is supposed to give you a lower center of gravity...what n/a said is true..if you buy a wrx...you have 7-10000$(depending on how much evos are selling for in your area) to spend on mods...which is something to seriously consider if you're into that stuff

I personally think the EVO is ugly regardless of how fast it is. The WRX and STi are much better looking.

The Evo is still a mitsubishi, lets see how reliable they are.

I love the sound of the boxer engine as opposed to the inline DOHC. Sounds so much better, less like a Civic.

I think you have been looking at the wroung upgrades. If you look at company like vishnu and cobb I'm pretty sure you could biuld a evo killer for less than 7000 or thier abouts.

just right off the top of my head I know you can get the wrx to 280hp for 1195$ from vishnu tuning. So horse power is taken care of. You could get cobbs stage three brake system for 1800 and thier stage three suspension for 3500 bucks. But, on suspension you could go with tien and get a cheaper coil over system with thier very cool edfc(electronic dampening force controler) for a total of 2250$ and you could still get a decent set of rims for 1200 to 2000 dollars.

this is just what I think but I also think it is worth taking a look at .

I guess I'm just a modifing kinda guy, because I like the idea of taking the wrx to the next level.

As someone already mentioned, comparing this model EVO to a stock WRX (2002-2003) is futile and pointless -- the cars aren't even on the same level. Compare that EVO to a 2004 WRX STi, and things begin to get quite interesting, naturally.

There is nothing unusual or tragic about this. If you know anything about cars (or computers, or stereo equipment, or televisions,) THIS **** ALWAYS GETS BETTER EVERY YEAR. The only thing that "ages" worse than cars is a PC :-)

Hey "N/A," is there any thread you post on that you don't try to take a **** on? I'm wondering what motivates someone who clearly doesn't like Subaru vehicles to hang around and make 800+ posts with just negativity and attitude. Perhaps you need a hobby? (modding Civics is fun, I hear).
