As a new STI owner pointed out, Prodrive sucks...so it doesn't matter. Ahh, gotta love these new STI owners. Some have no idea.
I think you would get killed if you said something like that in the rest of the world. Pitty the WRC is seen as a sub Nascar event here, but what can be more fun than turning left all day.

I see...performance pack VS standard muffler perhapse? Or maybe they just made a mistake. After all the GC8, Legacy, and WRX mufflers all seem to be the same pic on the website. I'm guessing that is where you got the pic from. Also the top one is the only one I can see in their UK website...

The first muffler pictured (with the slant tip) is a Prodrive model that was created solely for the purpose of better sound. The second muffler picutred (with the straight tip) is a Prodrive model that was created for better sound as well as performance, and at this point in time Prodrive only plans to sell it as a kit, at least with the ECU reflash and intercooler piping, but other kits will include stuff like an uppipe and downpipe.
