08 Impreza WRX 5 door
I just picked up my new WRX 5-door. This is my third WRX. I had a 2003 wrx sedan, a 2005 wrx sedan w/premium package, and now I decided to go with the 2008 wrx 5-door w/premium package. The 2008 is awesome. Don't just read online magazines, go out and test drive one. I LOVE the way the power is available at lower rpms. The new sedan is ugly but the 5-door is a big improvement over the last 5-door. The Interior is soooo much better. Even the radio sound great. I just bought a new iPod Touch and I'm using the new AUX input. I have never like the factory stereos, I always installed an after market head unit and my 10 JL Subwoofer w/AMP. I think for now I might stay with the Factory head unit. The 2008 is by far the best WRX I have owned so far. If looks are the only thing your judging your opinion on then I suggest you go drive one to believe me.

Hmmmm?
So, the soft suspension ~ big brake dive ~ wallowing in high speed corners ~ the new lean angles at turn in ~ you like???
This is sooo far from the other two WRXs you owned. I am surprised. People who never drove the older WRXs may not catch the difference ~ but you should have.
I have plenty of saddle time in the new WRX. Pushed it hard as well as cruised.
Yes, it's a 'softer-kinder' WRX.
Obviously, it still fills the bill for some...

Yeah, the rest is there. I have driven the wheels off a couple examples... having said that, it's nothing a set of coilovers wouldn't eliminate. BUT to me, it's a big dissapointment for the OEM so be so far off target ~

post up some pics!!
dont you love how it handles corners compared to the gd's. Our cars have hella body roll and potential understeer, the GE Hatch has no body roll and no understeer! It just squats in turns and comes gently out of it with little to no recoil.
