06 vs 07 sti transmission info?

Hi, I did actually search for this but didn't find what I was looking for.
I am trying to find a real world driving impression of them both.
I am aware numbers difference between them.

I am just trying to find as much info about sti's so I can make a good informed choice when it comes to finding my new car.

Thanks everyone.

07s have longer gearing and feel slower than the 05s
but when you look at the speedo, its actually pretty fast
better for drag I guess, since you dont have to go to 5th at the end of the track

-2006 STi trannies have forced feed lubrication; have an oil pump.
2007- STi trannies don't.

so the 06 has the shorter gearing and the better lubrication/oil pump. I can add that to the list of why I am getting an 06 instead of an 07.

Thanks guys.

but 07 has more computer electronic stuff that 06 don't. that makes the 07 a bit faster than 06.

06 lights are gray and 07 are chrome lol.

other than those, i don't think there any anymore differences

07 are better for drag so I've heard, it takes you through the quarter (until after 12.5 or so) without having to hit 5th gear or something...
