I gotta say, that I think it looks very sweet. I just wish they would have got rid off the FUGLY wing on that thing (which IMO is very rice) and they should have kept
the 04-05 scoop and they would look much better.
Roast me now,but I hate the BUG EYE look
Sorry.
BTW that wing has been proven to be usless..that's why the EVO has the Vortex
tips

but evo still has the big wing. big wing i guess is an accepted norm in japan, since skyline, supra, evo, sti all came with pretty big wings. its just that americans thikn all big wings are rice...because ricers use it. anyways, i personally hate the 06..

Good point!
Some wings have a purpose/some just for looks.IMO most friggin WRX/STI/EVO's will never see dirt, might as well yank the wing and @ the least look streetable.
If you're going to drive the car the way it was intended, then more power
to you.
I say use the car to it's potentional(get what you paid for)dont pusy-foot around
and Street Race tha thing. Nothin-but trouble.
Research & learn about it. Dont mod it ASAP before you know how to drive the
car.
Thanks.
idk kinda like it and kinda dont.
Its like the new Civic thought it was nasty in the pictures, but when saw it wat the SEMA in Atlantic City it wasnt too bad. I need to see it in real life to make any decisions

I'll be looking for a new car soon. I'll be keeping my WRX stage 2(cobb) for my commuter. But my new car has got to have POWER. I really don't want to have to mod the hell out of it either to get that power.
I hope the 06' STI gets a little more Ooomph.
I don't think I mind how it looks, just as long as it's got more bite than bark. If you're going have a big wing, then at least have the power to justify it.
My only other considerations right now are:
Nissan GTR or whatever they brand it.
Shelby Cobra GT500

The wing may be huge, but it is functional. I've read many a thread that people have gone wingless and found the car is more stable with the wing on. So, no, it's no completely useless, it is just overdone. I think it is also used as a calling card to distinguish the STi from the WRX. I like my wing, although I do get a good amount of grief for having a picnic bench on the back of my car, hah.
