Is $25000 a reasonable price for a brand new WRX with OEM spoiler out door?
Yes.
Two reasons I got the car for so little.
1)This is my third suabru from them.
2)My dad buys all his cars there.(they are a lincon dealer also and my dad has been leasing cars from them since 1988)
So all that plus the fact thatmy dad know the owner helped me get the car for so cheap. But still 25,000 seem alittle high to me. The car has only one option. Try to talk them down some more.
Plus with the new WRX coming in few months the 03 are going to be hard sell in the mean time. They know this, push them and they should work with you.
Good luck

STI in the Stratisphere
I think it will be quite the opposite. Because of the high cost of the STI most people will still dream about owning an STI and end up coming down from dreamland and end up buying a WRX, that's of course if there are many available by then.
Not everyone is rolling in doe these days and 25K is pretty high as it is.
just my opinion.
drive fast take chances!

2003 WRX
spoiler, short shifter, speaker upgrade, amp, upgraded security system, air filtration system, extended arm rest, auto-dimming mirror with compass for 27k out the door, it was 24k without taxes. it was only 200 over invoice and i think i got a pretty good deal. 3.9% for 5 years. 5 grand down. only like 300 a month.

Dealers are currently selling UNDER invoice as this is now an "old" model.
The new 04 WRX will be here end of March beginning of April.
Subaru knows this as well and is helping dealers sell what remaining stock there is of the 03 WRX. There is $500 in "dealer cash". This money is offered to the dealer to help them move cars. This is NOT customer money as in a "rebate". However, the dealer cash is descretionary and the deal can use that $500 to lower the price of the car to help him/her sell it.
So, if 03's are selling for invoice, the dealer can now sell that same car for $500 under invoice and still make the SAME profit as he/she would have made if they sold at invoice.
Keep that in mind when negociating. As time comes nearer to the 04's arrival, if the dealer cash is still available, then you could get a new 03 for $500 under invoice easily.
I've been offered this deal. But, I'm waiting for a new '04.
I was given a $500 over invoice on a NEW 04. So, dealers are willing to discount on the new model as well. I'm going to hold out and see if I can get a new '04 at invoice or about $250 over. In the Chicago area there is a lot of competition among dealers so I should be able to do better than $500 over on a new 04.
As far as an '03, at this point, I wouldn't pay anything over invoice and would shoot for the $500 dealer cash to put me at $500 UNDER invoice.
