Yokohoma tire on EVO
Guys the tires on the EVO are 235 whereas the tires on the STi are 225. I am sure the 235 will fit fine on the STi although it will probably throw off the speedo by a mile or two and hour... do you think Yokohoma will make the EVo tire in a 225 to fit the STi?? I think overall the Yokohoma is a better tire... what do you guys think??

Correct me if I am wrong, but 235 means 235mm width not side wall - depending on the construction this may not impact the rolling size (and speedo) I know on my mustang I had the option of 245 or 255 for my 17x8 and while I decided on neither they should not have affected the speedo according to my "speed" dude.
The aspect ratio of a tire, which is 45 in the case of both the STi and EVO tells you the height of the sidewall. But this is a percentage of the width, 45%. If the 235/45-17 were put on a car designed for a 225/45-17 it WOULD affect the speedometer and final drive ratio of the car. But the effect would be negligible with such a small change, less than 2mph. Yokohama will not likely make those tires in any other size as they were specially made for the EVO.
