Partial Hijack
Sorry for the partial hijacking of this thread, but Josh is a man "in the know" so I figure'd here would be the place to ask...
Any idea what MSRP is going to be? Are we looking at 30? 33,000 maybe? Any ideas, rumors etc etc? Thanks.

tremendous compliment, thanks much...
i really am not very sure this time, but i would guess 31-32k. personally i think that is high even for the car it is, but it seems to be "fair" based on demand and how unique it will be. i wish i had an inside line, but subaru is doing a great job keeping this one a secret.
the second i know anything this board will be the first place to hear.
imprezawd
i would probably wait then. i am fine with three of the four, so i am sure i will be happy. i am wiling to bet that blue and silver will be the first colors they make. i am loyal to the blue, but my wife wants silver. silver is SOO much easier to keep clean, and black wheels (i LOVE black wheels) look pretty good on silver. a blue car would HAVE to have the gold wheels, which my wife hates. tough decision.....

I dig black personally. There's nothing sexier than a polished black car. Ok, maybe I need to get out more.
I would be very, very happy if the car was 31k. Based on the pricing Mitsubishi put on the castrated EVO, I'm guessing 35k for the STi.

According to Desiree at Irvine, SOA is not taking pre-orders, so there's no need for a deposit. It's whatever they get off the boat and whoever's first on the list. I imagine that those who take the $500 deposit are not depositing the money, rather just holding the check, even though I don't believe they're supposed to take it at all. Anyways, I certainly hope SOA will take pre-orders after the first allocation as I don't want that dual element wing. Much too high.

My dealer called saying the STi was official in Nov 02. My deposit was sent, cashed (months ago) and I'm first in line!
I suspect the performance should be on par with the limited run Impreza S202 STi (non USA based). Check it out at http://www.evo.co.uk/
