Who has a need for speed?
I have had my car for one week and I just got my first speeding ticket ever 
am I the only jack a$$ who has one? I was doing 80 in a 55 i didn't see the cop till i passed the big rig that was doing 45.
I dont think i was abusing the power of the car it was more like bad timing. Am I the only one?????

A large majority of police officers don't like import cars, especially flashy ones. I noticed that among my co-worker, they're haters.
I think this is due to the image that young honda racer punks with attitute started.
They don't realized that the majority of STI owners are older guys with real jobs.
Car is just so cool looking that people can't handle it, too damn jealeous, damn haters!

1. You'll NEVER have enough HP. In time, everything begins to feel kinda slow.
2. I've gotten a speeding ticket once a year for well over 5 years. It comes with the territory. Keep in mind, the faster the car, the quicker it is to get into trouble. I got a ticket last month for 100+ in a 65, and all I was doing was going around a slow car. :P

My WRx has been nothing but trouble. in the last year ive been pulled over atleast 5 times. couple of warnings.... one reckless driving(90+mph in a 55mph)... not obeying traffic signs.... and the infamous street racing ticket oh well...ive accepted it...you will to.

When the cop pulled me over he asked how long have i owned the car I told him one week and he ask if it was stock I said yes and he asked if I could pop the hood so I did and he was look at it and said "Do you know what I'm looking for?" then I said "ya I just bought it last week all stock." And then he I could not believe his next question "Is this a V8?" . I'm sorry but HOLY S
it's easy to see that it's a 4cyl. and if you that ingnorat to cars he should have never ask to pop the hood.
Sorry just had to share

lol! cop must of pulled u over to learn more about ur STi, one cop pulled me over for speeding and asked me if my 04 wrx was "the new 270 hp turbocharged subaru" i politely corrected him and said "no sir its only 227hp" the cop was quite nice, he let me go. =) im so thank ful, cop, if ur out there, thank you. i really appreciate your kindness.

not all cops hate imports, ive had many cops compliment my wrx. it just depends on the person. but one thing is for sure, import loving cop or not, all cops hate punk riced out stickers all over, ugly bod kit all over different color shiet all over ugly lights all over hondas, or acuras or wanabe look alike hondas. and i mean riced out as in ugly *** spoiler all over, with team gay stickers all over or team watevers, if the wrx comes with a stock spoiler, a cop will respect that or even like it. if the Sti and evo comes with that beautiful stock spoiler, cops will respect or even like that more. like the porche carrera turbo, its got stock spoiler, cops like that too.
its there for high speed performance and good looks, its art and performance and quality, when some ricer honda puts some ugly metal aftermarket spoiler on his 15 second civic. ALL COPS HATE THAT, and i dont blame them. if he is in his own little world, then he should at least drive that ugly spoiler around in the 15 second civic and team gay stickers all over according to speed limit and traffic law.

cops will forgive a 12 second porche carrera turbo stock more easily than a 15 16 second civic with stickers and aftermarket exterior if pulled over. haha at least if i was a cop thats howd i feel. straight up

emmm..thats a wild theory. I dont konw if its respect or whatever but em....i think they are just looking mostly for the hondas b/c they are more link to street racing as far as imports go. most people dont even know what a subaru is and if they do they still dont know what a rs/wrx/sti is.

For me, the car really didn't matter - unless I got a crap car that couldn't go highway speed, I always find myself travelling way faster than the posted limit. Sucks to be me, and cruise control is the only way out of tickets.

I got pulled over during my test drive with the dealer in the car doing 85 in a 35. However i did manage to talk my way out of it.
Every cop in town knows me (not in a good way) and its quite the cat and mouse game day in and day out. Due to getting caught every now and then my insurance just went up $900 a year starting tommorrow. Thats right, $210 a month.
Dam my right foot, dam it to hell!
(PS: Age is 35)
Anyone racing in the Autocross in Birmingham AL. this weekend. Ill be there.
