i have a 02 wrx but it has basikly all the sti stuff on it exept the motor . do u think itll just be better to just get the jay spec sti motor and finish it? or do u think the new sti is nicer and faster????? im planning on just putting down pipe upipe intake headers and front mount with all my exhaust piping. basikly all my bolt on stuff so it runs good...... what do u think??


im wondering if the u.s. spec is better then the jay spec version 7. im ready to put that motor in my car if i could make it happen

The version 7 engine in the wrx probably can be done..special wiring..i dunno about special but thats the hardest part in engine swaps most of the times..ive heard that it would fit in the wrx(stiengine)..puttin that engine in would prob be just the same with the sti cept for look and the transmission with dccd..otherwise..go ahead with the engine swap if thats what u want to do..
