I have 400 Miles on my STi. Here is a little bug I found with my STi. I tested my Speedometer. I suggest you test yours. I will ask my dealer to fix the problem.

Displayed Speed Vrs Actual

35 MPH = 32 Mph

45 Mph = 41.8 Mph

55 Mph = 51 Mph

65 Mph = 61.5 Mph

70 Mph = 66 Mph

Tested with Garmin GPS Emap and a Friendly Police officers radar gun.


To cruise with traffic at 70 Mph I will need to go a displayed 75 mph.

Just think of the lost warantee miles.

Just hope the dealer doesnt say.. yes you are correct bad speedo.. we will put in another for you...hmm TMU STI.. true-milage unknown... sticker on your car from dealer... logged in Subaru computer.. resale never ever the same... I have seen cars lemon lawed over bad speedos.. but most of those were adding or subtracting miles and deemed TMU, hopefully Subaru has a better fix for a speedo off a few MPH..
