Also on topic for the thread, people are going to have to remember to factor in insurance. I'm hoping it won't be that bad since these are both four doors and 4-cyl. (Granted they do have turbos, though.)

What's the deal with Van Bortel?!?!?!?!
I am way down on the list and haven't heard back from them in terms of me getting a car and probably won't this year....
But what happened to $400 over invoice GUARANTEED?!?!?!
Are they trying to sell them at MSRP now???

Nothing's changed with V.B. as far as I know (talked with Pete Rosser yesterday, in fact). Looks like a few people may have dropped off the list....I've jumped up from #53 to around #43.....still probably looking at an '04 delivery though.....they're only getting 10 STis for '03 (last time I heard).
Though still VERY UNOFFICIAL, news on the grapevine suggests MSRP may be close to $31k, though the final price-versus-standard specs. yet to be decided.

i have a picture stating how much it is...its really $50,812 cuz they marked it up $20k....get ur prices right kid u wish u had a EVO
my friend just bought a black evo for 44k at concord mitsubishi, ca

O4STi,
I don't know what you are talking about. There are quite a few dealers selling the EVO at MSRP.
Anyone pay mark up for a EVO is dumb, talk about lack of patient. If they got too much money they want to blow, just heavily modify the EVO, it can drain the wallet of any rich man.

ok ok ..
easy guys..
28 987 $ is baseline MSRP w/o the delivery charge and roof and spoiler
add those you come up to 30862 or something..
then tax and license.
not a lot of dealer selling @ crazy mark up...
seen a few 2000 $ and 1000 $ and a lot of MSRPs.
not in CA tho..
