Redline Questions?

i believe there is a rev limter taht every sti has which wont let you rev past 7300 rpms so there would be no use to go past 7 beecause 7 is the redline

Car Info: Blue STi +Red del Sol VTEC
The shift light's highest setting is 7000 but in the book with the car says 7500 but 7 is the highest mine goes.

Well, I do know subaru checks every friggin micrometer of these motors to make sure they're perfect before they install them
