Yes the Perrin IC hoses will fit. Check out the WorldOnePerformance project STi.

And no, the factory hoses are not equal in performance. Plus, the Perrin hoses are much nicer looking. Hope this helps.

Vishnu tested the Prodrive intercooler "Y" hose to flow 14% better than stock, for $100 its worth it to me, hope that answers your question

hmm, it was my understanding that the WRX and STi y hose were the same piece, someone should call the parts dept and compare part numbers
