Hey guys I've been reading the forum for a while and sice I just put my money down on my new STI today I thought I would post. I got a black STI with all the options for $29,670 which I think is pretty good cause with the options the MSRP is $33,600. Unfortunatly, I wont have it for 2 weeks...which I guess isn't so bad. I'm sure I will do stuff to it eventually but I will prolly keep it mostly stock for a while. When I do start doing stuff to it I was thinking of starting with suspension. Does anyone have any input/suggestions?

please, please, PLEASE let me know the dealership and sales person you spoke with. I'm around the B-More/DC area looking for a new STi and I'd like to find a dealer who doesn't follow the MSRP or nothing policy.

I got it from Premier Subaru in Branford CT. You can call them at 1-800-411-4551. I talked to Tom Gallagher. They have 17 STI's coming in about 2 weeks or less. There was only one black and I got it so if you want black you will have to wait. I am pretty sure that they are all fully loaded and all $29,670. I haven't decided how I am going to get it. I will either have it shipped or take a train/bus to go get it. Unfortunately the closest airport is an hour away. All the dealerships I've seen around Baltimore are charging MSRP or a little more. One used car dealership is selling one with 6,700 miles on it for $33,000....I was like fawk that. They tried to tell me that people are paying $3-$4k over msrp. I told them I didn't care what other people were doing and left. But I got a test drive out of it

Sweet. Thanks for the info. I was hoping they were in MD ... maybe I'll make a roadtrip. Damn sucks that they got in so fast, I'm still waiting to get an insurance check from an idiot who ran into me... I hope they don't sell all their STi's before I get the check. And damn you for stealing my black one! 
I found a dealer here who's website lists 30,156. I emailed for a quote and he quotes 30,814 + $273 doc fee... I replied "what do you think, I'm stupid?" Ugh gotta love MD/VA area Suby dealers. I at least got a test drive out of a new silver STi from Dulles Subaru too before I laughed my way out of the dealerhsip when they gave me a price and some redicious finance rate that was their "special rate".

Found a dealer with one for $29,856 around here (for Silver/Silver) and they are getting a Black one in soon. I think I'm going to wait for the Black and and get that. Hopefully by then all the headaches I've had with stupid crap keeping me from my car will end and I can be grinning from ear to ear with my new ride.

...I don't really know if your joking about the 2f2f thing...but I hope you don't rice out such a nice car....as far as racing I do drive kinda crazy and have been known to street race from time to time...but I like to do most of it on the track...it would be cool to see what times we could get on our sti's tho. Do you know where the closest drag strip is?

Dude I'm totally joking, the only thing I'm doing to my STi to "hook it up" is buying some floormats, a head unit and 4 decent speakers. This is going to be a daily driver for me so there is no way I'm going to do anything stupid to it, especially anything that would ruin the longevity of the car... If I'm dropping ~$30k on a car it's going to have to last for a long time.
And ya I'd rather take it to the track. I used to go to 75&80 raceway up kinda near Frederick/Damacus all the time and it's a decent place. There is also Budd's Creek somewhat near Annapolis if I remember correclty.
How far away from Frederick are you? 75&80 was a decent track that didn't cost too much $ and was pretty fun.

Good to here it... You had me worried with that 2F2F comment. The only mods I am doing is head unit speakers, some winter rims, security system, LoJack, and a front a rear sway bar. I'm new to the area so I don't really know how far I am from places. I live right in the city of Baltimore so you will prolly know how far away I am better then I would.
